Default What type of hosting do I need?

I am looking to set up a site for personal use and need to know what hosting type I should be pricing. I need to setup a site that is blocked either by password or whatever. I will mainly have widgets and gadgets for personal use and also I would like to have my home security camera stream to it. What do I need?

A dedicated server would be recommended as you're planning to stream data from the security camera.

With Linux dedicated servers, you will have more security, a reliable way of hosting your websites and SQL databases, high performance, full control to root access, remote console and remote reboot.

Selecting Windows Dedicated Servers, you will receive total control and use of a Windows server. A Windows dedicated server is ideal for businesses or personal use, needing to run websites or applications that require Windows architecture. They are also a perfect choice for those needing to host Windows based e-commerce software. You are guaranteed a reliable server with a guaranteed uptime. Patch management, security updates and Windows Operating System support at no additional cost.

A Dedicated server would be the option you should choose. No other hosting plan or server will fulfill your needs as they will not provide you with the required resources you need for streaming videos from the Camera. I would recommend you to opt for a Linux dedicated server as this will prove to be a cheaper option as compared to a Windows dedicated server.
