Default Forum Software

Which forums software script do you usually prefer to have on your site. A lot of hosts offer ready to install scripts of this kind.

vBulletin all the way! There is a new beta in progress right now and it has numerous great features. I have used phpBB as well as SMF before and they are OK too.

I have used vBulletin in the past and it's not that hard to manage. Although if your forum grows very fast you will need to hire some moderators to keep the place clean and up to date.

I have used all these 3 scripts and vBulletin was quite simple to manage, also it has a lot more features as compared to phpBB and SMF and there is a e list of MOD on vBulletin site which will help you enhance the look of your forums.

I would recommend vBulletin. phpBB and SMF can however, be easily installed right from the Fantastico option in few clicks.

VBulletin is nice but I think forum users from what I understand, prefer SMF to the others. It seems more user friendly and is simple to use even for beginners.

Sun Solaris is now open source.
If you use Windows Movie Maker (it comes with Windows computers) you can use the titles and credits option. First open Windows Movie Maker, then drag the file you want on to the main area, then drag it to the little bar at the bottom (it might say time-line or story board), then click on "Titles and Credits" under the edit options to the left. Then just select the options you want. When you are done, select 'Publish movie at the top. It will tell you what to do from there.

Excuse me for saying this but does the type of forum software being used really matter? I suppose the important part of the forum is the content or topic that is being talked about.

Well, I voted for SMF if you ask me which forum I wanted to use. Sorry for this little rant of mine. I'm just expressing my opinions and I hope nobody is offended.

Well, phpBB is not a bad forum software. But i do not think it can compare with Vbulletin.

VBulletin has been one of the widely used and recommended software's for forums. Then comes phpBB which is the next preferred software used for setting up a forum. If you have cPanel control panel, you can find these for free within Fantastico. It is fairly simple to install them. You may even get assistance from Bodhost support team incase you are stuck with it.
