Default The Control Panel poll

BODhost currently offers only two commercial control panels, cPanel and Plesk, but there's no reason why you can't purchase your own license and install a different one if you like. So the question is, which is your favorite control panel?

It'll have to be cPanel. Not particularly because I like it, but because it's the one that most of my clients are looking for. I could educated them on what I think is better, but it's really their opinion that matters, isn't it?

Webmin for me, if only because it's free.

Well, that and it's a great piece of software. It's an amazing example of how just because something is free, it doesn't mean it can't be good.

I have personally used all the above listed control panels. I'll prefer going with cPanel!

From the above mentioned list of control panels, WHM/cPanel is of my preference for managing Linux hosting account/s.
For Windows hositng management DotNet Panel too can be a great alternative.

I would have given my vote for Plesk because it works irrespective of the Operating System. However, I vote here for cPanel because of its easiness, reliability, regular upgrades, functionality and many more.

I heard that even cPanel is about to release a control panel that would support Windows OS. They named it as "Enkompass". I think cPanel is not one of the best control panels but it is the only best of all control panels

You have heard it right Martin. cPanel has been working on the development of a control panel which can be offered with Windows OS. They have recently named it as "Enkompass" and the first Windows Server 2008-based product line in beta would be released later this year.

Enkompass? I wonder why they're not marketing it under the cPanel brand. cPanel has such strong brand recognition that you'd think they'd take advantage of it for their new control panel.

Hmm... I wonder what it looks like. I can't even find a screenshot of it anywhere. Looks like cPanel is keeping Enkompass closesly under wraps, though I hear they can provide demos to interested parties who email them.

The same question might be going on in the minds of most of the others as well. I tried to digg to know more about it, but there isn't much info available on this. Would update this thread once I get to know more about this.

cPanel meets (and exceeds) my needs. I can't imagine using a different control panel, honestly. I've always found it to be reliable and easy to navigate.

I'm happy with my current setup, but I'm excited to hear more about Enkompass.

They have already released the beta version of it. It is a Microsoft Windows Server 2008-based product.

Someone once said, don't change something that is easy and not even broken. I think that CPanel is just that for me. I've used it for many years and it fills all of my needs.

I'm with we hosting provider that uses their own CPanel version. It differs very much from any existing standard CPanel version, but it is excellent!

I've used, cPanel, Plesk, H-Sphere... but amongst these 3, I found cPanel to be the most user friendly and reliable.

But when it comes to Windows Hosting, Plesk is the most preferrable option.

I'll go with cPanel. No other control panel boasts the robust & secure features or qualities as cPanel. I've heard cPanel getting an alternative for Windows too named Enkompass. I wish them good luck in this

cPanel Enkompass is still in it's beta testing version. Thus, it is not available for purchase. cPanel is offering beta testing version for free and hence it is possible to check the beta testing version if you are interested in purchasing cPanel Enkompass license

Hope this answers you question
