Well, I've noticed that I'm getting some search engine referrals from Bing, so it looks like Microsoft's new search engine is getting some love.

Not just some Love but lot of Love Bing is gaining popularity at a jet fast rate. Though there are some tweeks where improvements can be expected.
One thing to be appreciated, is the speed of the search engine results, its faster than Yahoo and Google.Plus the interface looks pretty clean.

Whoa! Today's latest stats from Statcounter is showing Bing almost catching up with Yahoo, with Bing at 9.33% compared to Yahoo's 10.97%. That's up from yesterday's when Bing was at only 6.53%. I wonder how many of those new Bing searchers are just curiosity seekers looking to try out the new search engine?

Will Bing be a Google killer? Likely not. If there's one thing about Google, it's that they thrive on competition. Whatever Bing does better than Google (if any), I'll bet you my bottom dollar that Google already has it's great googly eyes on it and is planning to improve on the concept to make Google's own search engine better. The end result? Better search engines and search results all around, which means that we as consumers win.

Due to this tug-of-war between the search engines, one thing sure that the end users would be gain better benefits for the search results. After all competition forces oneself to scratch your head more and come up with an useful innovation.

Thanks for sharing the link Matt!
I don't think that anyone need any other SE Tool as far as Google is alive.

Hi..

Google is always the first choice of internet savvies. I am using google and i guess it has mastered this field. although bing has hit the floor with the bang it will have to compete with the daemon.

Even I like Google, however, I am quite impressed with how Bing is booming. I think Microsoft can make Bing as a default SE for all who use Internet Explorer as a web browser. This can make Bing more popular and it can get more traffic.

Yeah, that would surely be one of thier future strategies. They would surely work harder to gain popularity, and there are still many people who use IE instead of any other browsers, so am sure they would be forced to use Bing for their searches.

I've been using Google for ages and switching is just a hard process for me. Also, I like the interface of Google better because its not messy. But Bing is starting to get popular and it would be interesting to see how many people will switch.

Not me atleast

It is really to hard to switch. Whenever I need to find or search for any information, I tend to type "google.com" in the address bar. Has anyone switched from Google to Bing?

Switching completely to Bing is difficult, Google has created its own trust, which is hard to break. Yes, Bing can become one of the better alternatives though. Its true that people still tend to type Google.com in the browser, previously if visitors were unable to find a relevant information in Google's SERP, they used to check on Yahoo, but now the competition has got tougher with the addition of Bing.

According to SEO experts around the world, Bing ranks sites according to the Domain age and Google pays more stress on incoming links. Most of the search engines today rank sites according to incoming links, so it will be interesting to see that instead of going the way most of the search engines are going Bing is going its own way.

One thing that bothers me about Bing is that people are often saying: "Google it". It sounds weird and almost alien to me if someone ever told me to "Bing it". Google it self has become a household name because it is so successful and reliable. I really can't see how Bing could compete. Look at other major search engines, they aren't even close compared to Google.

Certainly, I believe it's not gonna be easy for BING to take away Google fans.

I think that Bing will out run Yahoo easily, however Google has a long standing name and reputation. I think it will be a long time before Bing comes close to Google, unless they keep on using those incentives. That might bring them close.
