In terms of ranking well in Google or any search engine , which type of linking has higher weightage. Reciprocal or Oneway?

I would say one way related?

Hey dud,

In my opinion, one way are much better we do not distribute our links much. Well, bieng technical i dont have an idea as of such.

One-way links or Reciprocla link have their equal signifance, however one-way links are more preferable in the aim of search engine optmization. They have also been known to a key to back in with some good backlinks.

I would too consider the one way links as the most important. The more you have them more are the chances to rank well in SE. The most important factor that matters in reciprocal linking is the topic of the website which you are linked to. So I would rather consider the One way links as the most important factor in SEO

I am agree with above opinions but reciprocal links are not bad if they are genuine!

Search engines can determine link quality by a number of other measures:

* Comparing themes of the link source and link destination pages
* Placement of links on the page (i.e. is it in body content, ad section, navigation area, etc.)
* Relatedness of the two linked sites (are they in compatible industries?)

These three measures alone will provide a far greater measure of the quality of a link than looking at whether a link is reciprocated or not.

hmm...i also need to know more about it. However, i am sure there has to be a logic somewhere...or perhaps google speaks its algorithm. :D

Although is it said and believed that one way links are given more importance by the SEs as compared to reciprocal links. But the most important factors in link building are link relevance and quality. If these issues are in line then I don't think it would matter much whether it's a one-way link or a reciprocal link, it would just be considered a valuable link.

Well buddy, you have asked a very tricky question. See reciprocal links are better both in respect of improved search engine ranking as well as traffic. But we must keep in mind, we must exchange links between pages of higher page rank and also with relevant sites. Single one way links may optimize your websites in eyes of search engine but it will not favor your link exchanging partners.

I think Our Aim is to make listed our website in search engine and if we are able to do it without any link exchange than it is good

Certainly one way links rate far better by google. people who use mass scale reciprocal or paid links are devalued in current google update.
