Default Save Disk Space On Your Server

After you host your site, you can achieve that it needs more disk space as your business grows in a while. There are two options - change your hosting plan or pay extra for more disk space.

Some techniques that can help you to save your disk space:

Revise graphics and multimedia files

If the design of your site has many images for multimedia files, review the design again and see if you can delete some graphics files. See the use of color in graphics, banners, advertisements and explore the possibility of reducing the number of colors. If the images have an animation or rolling text, try to static. Review all design and graphics carefully and note all the possibilities where changes can reduce the total size.

Review the files

See the file types used for graphics and content. For example, you can replace the heavy image files such as BMP. PNG with JPEG files which almost preserve the quality of the original image as well. Similarly, if you have a PowerPoint presentation PDF files, see if you can compress ZIP files to users.

Content Updated

Reviewing all the content and see if you really need all the content. There are times when certain content becomes outdated. Use the services of a professional content writer to polish the content, and reduce if possible. However, make sure you have a backup copy of all content and images that you are going to delete from the site.
