Without doubt Google is the most reliable Search engine in today's date, but the appearances of other search engines like Bing and Yahoo are more entertaining than the traditional Google's appearance, so these attempts of providing some entertaining stuff may show Google's awareness to make their search engine page more attractive.

But most of the above tricks aren't official – they are external websites that aren't related to with Google.

Yeah, most of animation part is done but third party websites, but I guess, 'I'm Feeling Lucky' button should be of Google's itself. And the different styles of showing the name 'Google' (which are mostly related to a particular day treated for something in all over the world or festival days) should be the part of Google's own strategy.

Maybe Google has given some opportunity to third party application developers to show their talent and entertain Google visitors for some time and hence this has been introduced. This may be made official soon.

I don't even know why Google still has that feature when their JavaScript code automatically loads the search results page as you start typing.
