Default Windows 8 will deliver Hyper-V virtualization

Hear this nerds? Windows 8 will ship with Hyper-V virtualization software integrated into the OS. Until now Hyper-V was limited to Microsoft’s server products, but now consumers (whether they care or not) will be able to fire up virtual machines without the need to download VirtualBox or some other VM software suite. Now, the average person probably won’t care too much, but power users will be thrilled. And, if virtualization can be integrated seamlessly to enhance security (through sandboxing) and compatibility with legacy apps (say, via an included XP license), it could be a e boon to casual users — even if they don’t realize it’s there.

Good to know that Windows 8 will have an inbuilt Virtualization application but I am unsure if it makes sense to offer a Virtualization application with an operating system which is built for Local machines.

I have already tried the beta version of windows 8, and can say its far better than the earlier version of windows.

But the cons is it requires a bit powerful machine ;)

It's essentially got the same requirements as Windows Vista and Windows 7.

I've tried Windows 8 - it's a major user interface and usage change as we know it - as of now you are forced to use the Metro user interface and I think that is what Microsoft is pushing with Windows, and it does indeed make sense why Steve Ballmer calls Windows 8 the riskiest product bet yet.

Good news Hyper-V will come bundled with Windows 8 though. Just a question to the original poster, are there any sources to confirm what you say? (For example, reputable news outlets?)
