Default Direct Deposit or Bank Transfer?

Hello

Just for a curiosity, I would like to ask one question; is it practical to set up bank wire transfer or direct deposit option for affiliates? And what is the main difference between wire transfer and direct deposit or both methods are same. I am asking this, because lot of big belly affiliates don't like to receive commission through paypal.

I don't think it is practically that much good, because the bank processing fee can be very high. PayPal is more cost efficient to transfer money to your affiliates. Even, paypal is now available in more countries.

As far as I know, Direct Deposit and Bank Transfer are the same. There is no difference between the two and both involve payments done via bank accounts. Though, Wire transfers are still considered to the safest way of payments, it becomes very difficult to manage payments done via bank transfer. Also, if this is done, the merchant has to pay the transfer fee which is not acceptable to merchants. Hence, affiliates are paid via Paypal.

One of the other problems with direct deposits or bank transfer is the fact that payments take a long time for clearance. If the payments are done to other countries, the payment clearance could take 3-4 days or more than that which is not acceptable to most of the merchants.
