First of all we want to understand what is the meaning of B2B? It is a well know as e-business or e-biz. The exchange of products or services or information between businesses and consumers. I am not sure but we can call the relationship between affiliates and web host as a B2B..

You should have to consider two things. First, popularity of the B2B website all over the world. You can use alexa to find out approximate traffic of the site. If the site ranked well top of all other sites may be it is worthwhile for you, because low ranked sites are either older and not worth to invest your time and efforts. You can also demand Awstats and Google Analytic stats to analyze site's growth.

You also check whether they get traffic from your targeted market. For instance, a lot of B2B sites are very popular in US market, but they get very little traffic from Europe. If you are seeking for buyers from European market, then those sites only popular in US may be not very effective. Use alexa to review site's popularity in different countries. Analyze what percentage of users hit the site regularly and also check the popularity rank in the country you are mostly interested to market your products and services.

I agree with Scott, location is very important. Check if the B2B site gets traffic from location related to your target group. Next important is relevancy of the site. If these 2 things are given due importance then you can get better response through online B2B portal.
