It is a script with a deleted copy protection. The one that you do not want to use on your actual website.

If you change the script to remove the protection enforced by the real author of the script, then it will be called as a nulled script. These kind of scripts are usually shared by warez and other fishy or illegal sites. Hence, you need to keep remember that such types of scripts are illegal so you do not utilize them for your commercial sites.....

OKAY thanks for the clarification. Overall we can conclude these scripts are illegal. Actually, I am not planning to use any one of them, but I have come across that some hosting providers allow to use these scripts, how do they or how can hosts figures out whether their clients are using illegal scripts or not?

People who use these types of scripts opt offshore hosting and normally those web hosts are bad. But using offshore hosting doesn't sounds that you won't be caught, because if any web host allow their clients to use stolen scripts are more likely to get into legal trouble sooner or later, it means host will be dead and illegal hosted websites too...

If you use stolen script code and insert into your website, then I can only say it's an invitation to hackers to pull down your site. It is very dangerous to use, because suck kind of script allows the hackers to access server......

Some people use nulled script, because they thought that the script has been removed of all the original author's protection that would notify to him when new installation occurs. But obviously they are mistaken, as there are lot of ways to determine original author to find out who is using its code...And those who distribute nulled scripts usually puts lot of moronic adds which are impossible to remove, and you may see nulled adds on every page of your site.

It is extremely risky to use nulled scripts into live website. Generally, those people who distribute these scripts normally set back doors into code which allows them to handle your site. And lets you alone to face embarrassment when you get caught. You will end up with a legal action against you, there is no matter where in the world you are. It is nothing but a risky business, even you run the script on your local system to get familiar with it. You should do a proper research on the requirements of your site so you won't need any nulled scripts.

As other members stated, it is dangerous to use nulled scripts. Mostly these scripts are good for nothing and don't work properly. If you like any script; use its demo version and check out each and everything before going to purchase it. Make sure you buy a script which offers free updates when their developers fix some bugs or upgrade anything. If you can't find any free or good script, then hire a reputable web development company who is trusted for its hand coding, as compare nulled scripts risk factors it is cheap and secure solution.

If you purchase such a script from any illegal site or person, then there are many chance that nulled script creator already inserted malicious code inside the script, so once you host your website on the server, it will be vulnerable to attacks. Honestly, it is not worth to take such a big risk which pulls down you on all the level, because original author can take legal action against you and on the other hand hackers will put a gun on your website's head.....
