What do you do when some of the visitors or clients of yours make a negative review about your website? You can't please everyone and there will be some who are not satisfied and make bad comments about you.
I try to treat people who visit my site the same way as I do those I meet in the offline world. Which basically means responding in a polite way to all interaction, but making a deliberate effort not to be argumentative or defensive with those who are critical. Sometimes you have to just humor people, don't you think?
Humor is a good approach. I also think that sometimes these negative reviews are good for us because it will tell us where we should improve. I'd rather have honest negative review than a spam.
Considering the above mentioned, we can come to the conclusion that to give up wisely is a kind of more hat we gain will definitely far out weight what we lose.
