Default Tutorial Liability

If you have chosen to write and publish an online tutorial, are you liable for damage or negative outcomes that may occur if you write your tutorial badly?

It's a good question. I notice an ebook usually has a disclaimer stating that the ebook is for education only, and neither the author, publisher or distributors take any responsibility for any damages caused by using any portion of the ebook. I think an online tutorial should have such a disclaimer also.

Disclaimers are always a good idea. Better safe than sorry, as the saying goes. If you have any concern that a tutorial you've written might lead someone into dangerous territory, you should probably consult a lawyer as soon as possible.
