Twitter & facebook for marketing?

Does anyone here use twitter, facebook, or any other social media networks for marketing purposes? I think it would be a wise plan, but am curious about whether it's worth my time or not.

Using Twitter or Facebook would be good in marketing, but have you tried LinkedIn yet? Yes rocky said it facebook and twitter are good for marketing but Linkedin gives you more relevant traffic and since it is social network qualified professionals according to me the conversion ratio will be high .

Twitter is good for generating traffic but it lacks relevancy....i am not sure about LinkedIn never got a chance to use it.

LinkedIn is a place for professional webmasters where you communicate with reliable / trustworthy ppl as oppose to twitter where anyone can spam links ;)

I prefer LinkedIn and MIXX.com for targeted traffic

Linkedin is basically a professional-based website where you can connect to many professionals who are in the same or relevant industry.
