I have seen some great blog's by amazing writers but they are stuck with their limits and when they want to change and get away from it all, they are stuck and lose their site. To me that is a little crazy, but if its in the freebies blog TOS cant do that much about it.

Those people who do that give us, who are trying to achieve something in a legit way, a bad rep. I remember explaining to a Blogger technicians that some of my blogs were actually human owned, because they were eager to close them under a suspicion that a machine made them.

That seems pretty stupid to start off with but then again I have been known to be in a chat before thinking someone thought I was a robot since I typed too quick.

I can understand their need to not want a non-human making blogs (who would want that?) but at the same time I have heard stories of how rude many of these places are when it comes to investigating too. Maybe its just best to leave the freebies alone and get a real blog.

I agree. But people are reluctant to open their own hosted blogs because they think it's too hard, which actually is not. And it's not that expensive too.

I think Blogger is targeted for newbies in blogging. It has limited features and functionality and its appearance is a bit awkward also. Most self hosted blog use Wordpress platform which is much more advanced with various plugins and widgets. Using Wordpress, you can customize it to the point that it doesn't look like Wordpress anymore.

I've been looking into Wordpress and it seems like it has some great options! Are there any tips to learning how to work the plugins and widgets?
