Problem with my Firefox

I was able to access the web pages without any problem using FireFox, God knows what happen and suddenly I was unable to view any site. When I typed any web address (url) in the address bar, I just got a blank page. Can anyone help me? How can I view the web page please?

Well, this might be due to some addons or scripting problem in the site you last viewed I would suggest you to close all tabs of Firefox and then restart it again.

If the problem is not solved then I would suggest you to restart your computer and then check if the problem is solved (save your data before you restart your computer )

After following these steps the problem is not solved then you may re-install firefox which should solve your problem

Do you have an internet connection running when the problem happened? Or have you installed any add-on or plug-ins in your Firefox browser that is illegally used? Just wanted to check the cause of the problem.

A couple of possible solutions:
1. Check internet connection
2. Check and make sure you don't have a virus
3. Check that you are not using a proxy, Tools -> Options -> Advanced -> Network -> Connection -> Settings...
4. Try the same website with a different browser and see if it works.
5. If nothing works, try uninstalling and then installing to the latest version.

Have you verified that the problem only occurs in Firefox? Try loading up the website in another browser like Internet Explorer and see if you still get a blank page. If it's still blank, then it may be a problem with your internet connection or with the website itself (try loading other pages to see if it's just that website).

If you've verified that it's not your connection or the website and that the problem only happens on Firefox, try starting Firefox in safe-mode (append the -safe-mode switch to your Firefox application shortcut). If that doesn't work, try creating a new Firefox profile (append the -profilemanager switch to your Firefox shortcut).

Hey all, thank you for your replies.

The problem was not only with FireFox but also with Internet Explorer. I thought that it might be the problem with my internet connection. It was an horrible experience to be without an Internet

I tried to figure out what was wrong which took a long time though. Well.. finally, I am now connected

I restarted FireFox... no go... then I restarted computer and Oh! It worked

I am glad you finally sorted it out. I thought the problem is on your internet connection. If you're using a broadband connection, sometimes possible disconnection from the internet happens when the broadband signal is blocked.
