Default Gaming computer

I want to make a gaming computer from new pieces of hardware. At the moment, I have nothing. My price range is 1000-2500$ USD. If possible, please give full, correct name of hardware models.

Hardware needed:

Case
Motherboard
Processor (Intel)
Video/Graphics card (Nvidia)
RAM (6GB+)
cooler
DVD drive
HDD/SSD
Monitor
Mouse/Keyboard

I probably forgot something on the list, feel free to recommend anything else.

We will be able to provide you information about the best possible configuration for your Gaming PC. Before we suggest you about the configuration, we would like to know the kind of games you are interested to play on your Gaming PC which would help us to provide you more information about the configuration you should go for.

Games that I want to play now are probably: Guild Wars, Assassin's Creed, Mirror's edge, and GTA 4. Games that are coming out: Assassin's Creed II, Guild Wars 2, Final Fantasy 14. Overall, I'd like a set that won't be out of date in a year. If I ever needed to update it, it would only be pieces of it and not the entire thing.

Shop careful then as it seems many things still nowadays are out of date within a year. Mine is still pretty good but last night I had some video card issues (seems I will be shopping along with ya).

Thanks for the list! For some reason I couldn't find the Talon Black Mid size tower anywhere online. I also forgot the PSU. If anyone could give me a rough idea of how many W's I should get, that would be great.

I was thinking myself an upgrade to that, but wow some of the prices online right now are just insane. I do not think I saw anything within my budget right now. If you do end up getting a good price on one, please share.
