CORBA is common Requesting Broker Architecture. It is a standard defined by the Object Management Group or OMG that enables softaware components written in multiple computer languages and running on multiple computers work together.

i m agree with the advanrages but it got some disadvantage too, few of them are:
1. CORBA is Firewall unfriendly.
2. It is often regarded as complicated.
3. No official perl mapping.
4. The evolution of CORBA specifications requires many steps of bureaucracy,
so the 5.platform evolution is slow.
