cross platform
Cross platform means computing methods or computer software that are executed and inter operated on multiple computer platforms. There are two types of cross platforms that are used:
1. Which requires individual building for each platform it supports.
2. Can be directly run on any platform without any special preparation.
Examples of cross platform are:
• Linux (x86, x64, PowerPC, various other architectures)
• Mac OS X (PowerPC, x86)
• OS/2, eComStation
• Java
• Microsoft Windows (x86, x64)
• MS-DOS (x86), DR-DOS (x86), FreeDOS (x86) etc.
• AmigaOS (m68k), AmigaOS 4 (PowerPC), AROS (x86, PowerPC, m68k), MorphOS (PowerPC)
