If a particular keyword has higher density on your page then it is more likely for your page to obtain better rankings in SE. But keyword density is treated differently by all other search engines having different algorithms.

It represents the percent that your keyword or keyword phrase are of your html page text.

You must keep an eye on the specific keywords from each page so that the percent would be somehere around 3% - 7%.

Keyword Density is the percentage of occurrence of your keywords to the text in the rest of your webpage.
It is important for your main keywords to have the correct keyword density to rank well in Search Engines.
The preferred keyword density ratio varies from search engine to search engine. In general, I recommend using a keyword density ratio in the range of 2-8%.

If a particular keyword has a higher density on your web page, then the likelihood of your page obtaining a better search engine ranking increases. But not all search engines bother with keyword density and indeed even those who do have their own algorithm for computing the density of a keyword.

More important factor than keyword variation or keyword density is having high quality and tightly focused content.

most of the search engines prefers ur site content more than ur keyword density, backlinks or site crawling.
