Hey i have found something really interesting, you all can have a look at it too -

Its combines all the data as well as the process of an organization into one single system. It will use many components of computer softwares as well as hardware in order for the best integration.

These were initially used for enterprise resources. It tried to cover all the basic functions regardless of organizations. It will take care of payroll and accounting functions also along with many other functions.

The idea sounds nice. I have personally seen many software which have combination / integration of various computer softwares and their performance have been upto the mark.

Its a fanatastic idea which by its integrating nature leads your system to proper Communication, Productivity, & Efficiency.but it got some disadvantages
most of them arising due to inadequate investment in ongoing training for involved personnel.its main disadvantages are-

#Customization of the ERP software is limited.
#Re-engineering of business processes to fit the "industry standard" prescribed
by the ERP system may lead to a loss to a competitive advantage.
#ERP systems can be very expensive leading to a new category of" ERP LIGHT
solutions.
#ERPs are often seen as too rigid and too difficult to adapt to the specific
workflow and business process of some companies-this is cited as one of
the main causes of their failure.
