Magento = Ebay!!

Would you still like to suggest Magento anymore now that eBay owns it totally?

I am considering other platforms for an ecommerce platform, but I have seen that many webmasters still recommend Magento. There is no doubt that tt is a great system, but as eBay owns the company so I think it won't be free for long....

I can also imagine that it won't stay free for long and with eBay as the owner there will probably be less user control and they could even start to require certain add-ons or payment methods. Now the question can Mageto be going toward an all in one package for e-commerce sites...

Sounds like eBay is absorbing Magento. Maybe they planned all along from the start when they launched it. eBay bought several percentage in early 2010 and kept it a secret. Then a year later in early this yeat they officially declared they were the ones and right around that time Magento go launched.

I am sure they would keep enterprise and community as it is. So just clam down!! you can install it yourself..Big or Giant fishes can go with enterprise edition. Community edition still providing free support, free documentation, development ideas, etc.....In my opinion, it makes sense that eBay is now controlling Magento. However, it looks like a sweetener.....

As we all know Magento community edition distributed under open source license. May be eBay stop developing it, but the fact is they can't destroy it, because the Magento community is too large. It will be picked up and maintained so eBay can't do a thing about it.....
