I am the worst at trying to pick a domain name that will help add to the profitability of a website. What I would love is to get some times on how to pick a profitable domain name.

You can log in to any thesaurus that has word mapping. Then you can enter any term and you will get a list of all kinds of synonyms that might become useful words to use in your domain. I do this and it works well for me.

You should also consider old domain name. According to my knowledge old domain names have more search engine trust and may achieve good rankings for competitive keywords in short time.

If a domain name you want, one that is also a good keyword, happens to be taken, would it hurt to add another word to it? Would that take away from the keywordishness of it? Like if my keyword was fresh apples would crispfreshapples work as well as fresh apples?
