Default Online business

Do you prefer working online or running online business? Working online is simpler and easier, but you will get paid only if you work. In other hand, running online business taxes so much time and effort, and often investment also to set up the business. But, once the business is set up well, it can bring in a steady stream of income. Which do you prefer?

Having your own online business takes a lot commitment. As you have said already, time and money will be invested in order to run your own business. And even after the business is already running, you still need to maintain it.

So I prefer working with an online business than having one. That is just my preference because I will get paid for I have done and I don't need to worry about technical issues.

I agree with you. I am a beginner in making money online, so I think working online is more suitable for me. But I have a dream that some day I will run my own business so that I can be making money when I am "lying on the beach" LOL.

I think you've hit on the button exactly. I'm in the midway point right now between working and having my own business. I've been working for a while and trying to learn now about how to have my own business and all of those components.

Congratulations Sarah for pacing your next step. I consider to start my own business, but not in the near future. I place Adsense ads on my website, but I don't consider it an online business, as I still work for Google.

Currently I am considering to try forex trading. I hear it is a lucrative and promising business. It is also considered the most liquid market in the world. I think this kind of business is simpler than selling ebooks or other informational products.

One thing I was told about Forex trading, and sharemarket trading in general a long time ago.

"To make money with Forex/sharemarkets, you have to know the technique and have enough experience otherwise you lose more than what you make."

Remember that small quote. May save you a e amount of money in the future.

Thanks NCHosting for sharing the quote. That's so true. You have to equip yourself with sufficient knowledge and information before starting to trade. I have a friend who got profit like $60 at the first try, then he became too enthusiastic and ended up losing like $450.

I would prefer to run an online business. Yes it is hard work in the beginning, but the rewards are far greater. If you can set up your business to run on autopilot it would be much easier to run.

You need to take lot of efforts to prove yourself legit in online industry. There are thousands of scam around and people no more trust anyone before checking how genuine is the company. Hence, it is too difficult, however, if you prove yourself then you are won

I am willing to hard work but setting an online business is just too complicated for me. I like your opinion though. What kind of online business are you running now? Care to share your experience here?

As what I have said in my previous post, commitment is a must when you have your own website. But if you are successful with running your own business online then you only have to worry where to save the cash that flows in. :dancing:

The problem in working with a company is that you don't have assurance that you will still have that job the next day, unlike with having your own website.

I like what Sierra is doing. You can work with other companies online while you have your own website. It's a win-win situation for you.

There are times when I like the idea of kicking back and letting someone else do all of the work, but then my other mind kicks in and remembers its a control freak. For me its easier to do most of the work and then know I only have myself to blame if something goes wrong.

That's why we are advised not to put all eggs in one basket. As a freelancer, we should have different sources of income by working for some companies instead of one, and doing several kinds of online jobs. I think it's the real assurance that we will not lose our sources of income.

At the end of the day. If you don't work, you don't make money.

There is no such thing as free money.

The old days of registering some "memorable" domain, creating something that is already out there and "has been done before" and thinking you will make money is just an illusion. There are millions of people using the Internet now.

And having been an internet user since the age of 13 (I'm now 29), my advise is you need to be early on the ball with an INNOVATIVE product to make a living now..

You are right NCHosting. The internet is already saturated with ideas that thinking of a unique business on the internet is not an easy job. But if you have thought of a business that has never been thought of and people liked it then I guess you will become rich in no time.
