Default Tips to Increase Page Rank

below are some tips as i have learned, i would like to share with you, and welcome to your sharings!
1.Keep updating your website every day with unique content. Visitors will come back to your site again if your site has useful information they need.
2. Build internel links to your website. For example you can provide a list of related articles so visitor can remains a long time on your website.
3.Create sitemap for your website (XML based for Google and text based for yahoo) then submit sitemap to Google and submit sitemap to Yahoo. This helps visitors and search engine bots find pages on the site, and it is good for search engine optimization.
4.Build external links. This is a good way to improve your visibility in search engines, and the links like the votes, the more votes you get, the high PR your site will be.

Great work anny. Thanks for providing useful information

I would like to add something.

Content is certainly the most important factor to bring good rankings for your site. If you have great content, your site will get a lot of benefits and you won't have to work hard for those benefits. When it comes to updating your site regularly, I would like to say, 1 post with unique content is equal to 5 posts with similar content. Hence, instead of posting 5 articles regularly, posting 1 article with unique content will give you more benefit

Internal linking can help you to keep the visitors of your site on your site for a long time and thus increase the "bounce rate" of your site which is also important. However, you should make sure that you should do this in a limit in a proper manner, otherwise, your site will get complicated and will not remain user friendly which is important to keep visitors on your site for a long time :(

Creating sitemap for the site is the first thing you should do as spiders of search engines crawl sitemaps of sites to find new content and if your sitemap is not their, your site maybe crawled later by search engines which is certainly not good :o

To get more PR, links are important as search engines consider links as referrals to your site and the more referrals you have, the better the rankings you have. However, the rankings of your referrals also matters. Backlink from a single site with 5 PR is better to backlinks from 100 sites with 0 PR ;)

for the backlinks, the PR is very important, but also it should be related to your business.

I always like a waiting time from when I am making large changing to a website, this way if I am resting something out I have the time needed to gather info. finding out what works and what does not. I do love the idea of fresh content those, besides who wants something stale? :D

You are most welcome and thank you for appreciation

Well, I think you have made a mistake in the sentence :(

PR is not important for backlinks but backlinks are important to get PR Relevant backlinks will certainly make a difference and your site will get higher rankings and PR if your site has backlinks from other sites related to your niche.

Thank you for sharing the tips, anny feng. That's helpful. I would like to add some as well. How about link exchange? This will help increase your page rank if the link you are exchanging with is unique. You can even take part in various forum discussions and from there you can benefit from increasing page rank in your site when you put your site link in your signature. If you write articles, you can pass your site link there that is related to the content of your articles and with luck you can get PR from this backlink. Then make a subscription newsletter, it's another way to get your PR rank up especially when traffic visits your site feed.

Proper spelling and grammar go a long way just the same. I hate coming across a well PR site and then see nothing but first grade spelling on there along with incomplete sentences (and even worse paragraph styles).

I couldn't agree more with Joseph - content is the key. If you supply well-written, unique content, you'll draw eager readers, and the ratings will follow. If you can keep your audience's attention and raise interest in the information/perspective you're providing, you'll have a devoted readership in no time. They'll help you build external links and generate more traffic.
