Default craigslist or ebay?

I have a few old things that I no longer use and I'm thinking of selling them off to make some cash on the side. I'm not sure whether I should advertise on eBay or Craigslist, though. Which do you think is better?

If you're targeting buyers in a certain area, then Craigslist should work for you since their site is divided by location. You also get to keep most of your earning, unlike with eBay where you're charged a fee. The downside is, of course, that you don't have the same kind of seller protection that you get with eBay.

Craiglist would be free, but not very safe.

Ebay's minor service charges aren't much when considering your physical safety. If you aren't physically exchanging the product, then you would be exchanging addresses. I wouldn't want to do either if I didn't know naything about the person on the other end of the transaction.

Unless you are selling bags of sand or iron weights, I would use Ebay.

I think I would go with Ebay. Two very good reasons is your security and the buyer's protection. I have never used craiglist so I can not give a personal recommendation.

Ebay is widely used to sell and purchase products and hence I would suggest you to use it as many of the people have used it for selling or purchasing goods and people found it safe

Also, if you try to sell your products on Ebay, your products may be sold in a short time. As Craiglist is not very well known for selling and buying products, it might be possible that your products will be sold after a long time
