Default Php Audit

Has anyone used phpaudit or a similar service? The only other place that came up in my search was IONO.

Personally, I think both PHPAudit and Iono are both good. I'm just wondering what it is you are wanting to use them for. If you don't mind sharing.

What exactly is a phpaudit and what would you use it for. I tried looking it up and didn't get much information.

Smile PHPAudit

PHPAudit is an Application which will allow you to provide or in other words distribute the applications you create in PHP. It is actually, a distribution management system or say a distribution management application which makes it easier for you to manage the licenses you provide to the users of the application you have created. It has a web driven interface which allows you to provide, manage and delete the applications and licenses. This application helps you to distribute the application you have created in PHP to the end users.

It also includes features which allows you to check the status of the licenses of your application you have created and provided to the end users. That means, you can check whether the license you have provided active, expired or suspended.

As this application is made for Software developers, this application also includes support for payment gateways and shopping carts so that Software developers can accept payments for the licenses they provide to the users. It also includes a billing system and email templates which is certainly good.

Hope this helps

Have you ever tried PHPLicengine ?

This is what I see on their website:

Quote:
PHPLicengine is a licensing and distribution system for developers. License keys can be checked remotely and locally. Remote license keys are on your own webserver and will be checked by your software user's website remotely. This is not a license file that your clients can hack or alter. You will be able to disable the license on your website and your software will cease working on your user's website remotely. You can choose local license files too. Your PHP software can be licensed to domain name, IP, MAC address, expiry date, and up to 5 optional key/value pairs and you can also force your footer link to be shown on your software. PHPLicengine issues invoices to your clients to renew licenses and you can use it for billing management and client management. It includes language files and customizable templates for client area. Your clients will not have access to download your product when their order expires.
Their free version was very impressive to me! give it a try.

I've never used this before, so I've got a quick question -

Can you use this to manage the distribution of full websites? If you build a complex working website in PHP/HTML along with the databases required for it (not just a simple script), will this service still be helpful?

Default php license script, distribution manager

Are you talking about a download manager? yes, you can upload your .zip of software somewhere in upper level of html_public to disallow direct access, then in PHPLicengine admin panel you can setup packages with prices/taxes and extra/addon packs and assign the license type (remote/local/ioncube) to your package (you can even set it as "No Locense" if you don't require license for your software and can use it as a shopping cart and distribution manager without licensing), when you receive the order for your package, you can approve the order either manually or automatically by payment IPN system, and with order status as "Active", your clients will be able to download the .zip file inside their account.

Was it what you were asking? If I understood your question wrongly, please explain more.

You can even ask in their forums and they are very friendly and helpful people to answer you. You might want to try their free version and I am sure you'll love it. Their free version as they mentioned on their FAQ page is lifetime but limited to 20 licenses.
