I'm not from China so I can't give a definitive answer, but the latest survey (2008) says that Baidu holds the majority of the search engine market share in China, followed by Google. That's a big difference from only a few years back when Google was #1 in China.
So you read Chinese then, Dawnsday? That's cool. 8D
Regarding Google China's decreasing popularity among Chinese searchers, do you think it may be because increasing governmental pressure and censorship may have adversely affected the quality of Google's search results?

For your translation Squishy, it says... "Actually I do speak, read and write Chinese Squishy, as it is my heritage."
Thank you for your reply! Now Baidu is the strongest Chinese search engine in China. It has the 71.31% of the Chinese search market. Google has also come into the Chinese market. But it is develping quickly. Now it has the 19.39% of the market. I think maybe Google will has better future because it has the advantage in technology and it is the strongest search engine in the world after all!
