Default Which is better, Paypal or 2Checkout?

As a seller, which is the better payment processor to use, Paypal or 2Checkout? I've heard some horror stories where the buyer issued chargebacks and Paypal didn't even try to consider the seller's point of view, resulting in money lost for the seller. I don't know if there's anything similar for 2Checkout, though, which is why I'm asking. Does 2Checkout have better seller protection than Paypal? Are there any other payment processors to consider

Doesn't Paypal have business accounts? I thought they had buyer protection for that. Never tried 2Checkout before, though.

Have you thought of using Google Checkout? Never tried it either, but it seems very popular. Of course, there are some people who are paranoid about Google perhaps controlling every aspect of their lives...

:D

I've never had an issue with a Paypal charge back but I'm sure they have them. I've used them for a long time and I'm pretty happy with them. I've never used 2Checkout so I can't comment.

I'd use both - Google Checkout and Paypal. It's always good to use more than one payment gateway.

Hmm... so nobody has had any experience with 2Checkout, then? :(

I had a look at Google Checkout and it looks like a promising alternative. Unfortunately, based on my searches it seems like Google Checkout recently raised its processing fees so that it costs almost as much as Paypal. Now that's a downer. Still, GC does look promising since they claim they don't immediately deduct funds from chargebacks, but instead will try to decide who was at fault. Much better than Paypal's method, IMHO.

Google checkout is a good option. 2Checkout transaction fees is much higher than Google checkout. So, probably you can give Google checkout a try.

I use Paypal. I've never even been on a site that I know of that uses 2Checkout. Maybe I've just never noticed it before. Whenever I'm checking out somewhere, the first option I see is Paypal.

I've used PayPal as a buyer and a seller on e-bay and amazon and I've never had a problem of any kind. I can't say anything concerning 2checkout because I've never used it. PayPal seems to be the go-to guy for me.

I had a closer look at Google Checkout and it looks like your clients will actually have to login and signup with Google Checkout just to make a payment. Or am I missing something? Because that's what I've found so far. If it's true, that would be disappointing. Many people don't like having to login or signup anywhere and have their credit card info stored all over the internet.

Well, that's one of the disadvantages as of now. However, it makes things easier in the long run and you don't need to do the same all over again.
