Default My ecommerce site

I would love to build an Ecommerce site around my love - drums. I know I can generate the content with articles and on line drum lessons. With a webcam and youtube, I am also fairly confident I can create video lessons as well. I could also create and host a forum for drummers. My problem is, other than selling original products like method books, how to I find a real inventory? How do I get in touch with a manufacturer to sell their products on line retail?

Do a search for the musical instrument suppliers you would buy from. Then see if you can find a link at the bottom of the page that says 'affiliates' or something like that. If they pay a commission for each sale you refer - then you have your supplier!

Yes search for such manufacturers on the Internet. As said by Noobie find an affiliate link on their website else you can directly contact them using Whois Look Up or Domain Tools to get the domain owners contact details.
You can contact them and put forth your proposal.

I would think there are a ton of things you could do, but right now I am just as stumped. Is there a way that you could give lessons via online and charge for a membership of sorts?

Giving lessons is definitely one of the angles I am going to take. I will also be publishing and selling my own method book to go with the video lessons.

Lessons in the form of video presentations would be a great product to sell! You'd generate plenty of interest this way - which should translate to loads of profit.

What a great idea! I hope it does really well for you. I know I'd pay for video lessons. I've always wanted to play the drums.
