Default Build links--why & how?

Links are very important to a website, since they represent the traffic potential.
While traffic equals money in the online world.

Do you even know why you’re building links to your site? To get more traffic? But there’s a lot more to it than just that. it’s important to know your motivation behind your link building efforts.

If you don’t know WHY you’re building links, then you won’t know HOW either.
So what are the main reasons why webmasters build links?

Have your efforts been in line with your motivations?

Back links to your website is the most important things that Google consider to decide the importance of your website. Every links doesn't have an equal value. The value of the link is determined by its relevancy to the page it is linked.

Building quality back links is one of the most important factors in Search Engine.

Remember, the quality matters! If the website that is getting back links gets many high quality and high page rank back links, the better is the chance of it being in a high position on the Search Engines.

The key to this is to get RELEVANT links, if you get a bunch of irrelevant links it won't do you much good plus I doubt it will result in traffic.

As for techniques there are several good and bad/unethical techniques. It's best to use only good ethical techniques as they will prove more rewarding in the long run and the most important thing to keep in mind is that your content must be good, think about it like this:

Would you link to that page if you didn't own it?

So what if I post lost of comments on blogs that have the same or similar keywords to mine? If I get to leave a link behind my name then will that give me back links?

yes, it would be consider as a backlink only if the blog is a dofollow blog. Blogs having nofollow tag has no value and can't be consider as a backlink.

Yes, you will definitely get a backlink from that technique also. However, make sure that most of the Blogs will either have No Follow rule or your comment will be deleted as soon as the link is seen by the Administrator ;)

By using nofollow backlinks can drop the target links.

How do you know if the blog you're commenting in has nofollow or dofollow tags if you're just dropping a comment? What the easiest way to tell which ones are worth linking from and which ones aren't?

By nofollow and dofollow are you saying that if they follow the blog they are leaving the comment on and the backlink that it won't get deleted? And if they are not following the blog, yet leave a comment with a backlink the comment will be delete?
