Default Google vs Yahoo?

I've never quite understood the real difference, if any, between Google and Yahoo. I don't really pay much attention to whether I am "googling" or searching on Yahoo. I did create a yahoo email account because I heard that gmail has issues.

I am not sure about the differences but Google is the best and Yahoo is no where when compared as a search engine...

about the email account i have heard the issues but all of the issues turned out to be rumors. gmail account is far more better, convenient and comfortable then confusing yahoo mail.

Cool

Google search is better & well indexed than Yahoo.. you get exactly those results which you expect when you Google them ;) Yahoo is fairly nice.. I don't bad-mouth it.. but Google rocks !!! When it come to email services, I've never had issues with Gmail & also have noticed that their SPAM filters work 100% upto their mark ! Yahoo's been history for me now ;)

Google is certainly more preferred as a Search Engine over Yahoo and this is due to the better results offered by Google. Also, Google is much more preferred as yahoo seems to be a bit confusing. When it comes to mailing, I think both are good. However, the features offered by google are better. It was said that google emails had problems as the email account owners use to see advertisements in the inbox and they thought that the advertisement companies had the details of their account. However, this problem has been solved and now it's fine.

I find it amazing when the name of a company becomes an everyday phrase. The term "googling" has become as generic as "xerox" once was.

Yes now people mostly don't say they searched for something instead they say

they "Googled" it

One of the main reasons I like Gmail over Yahoo Mail is that it keeps me logged in. But when it comes to yahoomail it would not keep me logged in no matter how hard i tell it. Also, it fetches your other POP3 email accounts (up to 5 of them) and lets you access them from one central account.

Every search engine has its own advantage & disadvantage. Yahoo is older than Google and they know every tricks of business better than Google. I think Google is following on Yahoo's footsteps.

I noticed that about my yahoo mail account too. I thought it was just a setting on my machine. I set my cookies filter pretty high, and then I lower it each time I need to. So, I figured that was why I couldn't stay logged in.

When I visit both I see out dated search results for yahoo. I do remember having my own yahoo page eons ago but the only thing I used it for was converting currencies or time zone checks, otherwise its always been about Google.

Difference between Google and Yahoo to me is like difference between Intel and AMD. It really is based on preference but far more people chose Google. Yahoo is nice and all but it does get a little unorganized sometimes. They also charge money to use their email on Outlook I think.

I prefer Gmail better than Yahoo Mail. Gmail made sure that I would receive emails sent to me in a timely manner unlike Yahoo Mail in which some emails being sent to me were reportedly missing.

Gmail wasn't preferred by many users as it was claimed that Gmail accounts were hacked as account owners use to see advertisements in the Inbox. However, this problem has been solved now and this made Gmail preferred by users. I think Gmail has many features and hence it is considered to be better.

hehehehe.... Also, the Gmail's interface is much better than yahoo's as it provides many new themes that we can change according to our mood. There are many good things in favor of Gmail, but all i want to say is Gmail Rocks!!!

Default Undo Mail by Google

Yes, there is a new feature included in Gmail called as Undo mail. You can cancel the mail delivery before the mail is delivered. You can Turn on Undo Send in your Gmail account under Settings, and you’ll see a new “Undo” link on every sent mail confirmation. However, this feature won't be able to Undo the email which is already sent. This feature holds the email for 5 seconds so you have some time to cancel the mail delivery.

This feature can be helpful to some users in case they have sent the email to the wrong person or have forgotten to mention or attach something.

Hope this helps..
