Who blogs for money?
Whether it's through a paid blogging program or a blog of your own, anyone else make most of their income through blogging? I do niche blogs that earn through Adsense and affiliate products. I know some people blog for today.com which pays $1 per post per day and you can have multiple blogs. That's a good way to get started and get some practice, I think.

Then, probably the next step is SEO for sure, if you need to add to your revenue.

Nowadays, blogging has definitely gained importance and many people are trying it out. Some of them do it for fun and learning and some people are doing it for money. This is a good way to earn money. But it also depends on your skills and knowledge. If you are starting it then I would suggest you to start as a part time job and continue if you get success.

I haven't tried blogging for money but I might try this as a sideline for some extra bucks. Do you know any blogging sites that pays a writer to blog?

I have created my own free blog on blogburner and also created an account with Adsense. Blogburner serve ads on the pages that have your content.

SEO is great but be warned of those who say they are SEO Experts then take your money and run. I tried something like this a while back and once I further researched the person online I could see tons of places they posted under fake names with the same line and the typing was atrocious.

You don't need to pay an SEO person. The basics of SEO can be learned by searching online and most are easy to implement on your own. Using your keyword in the title of your site and in your url is a good start. Utilize metatags and don't forget to tag you images with the appropriate keywords, too.

SEO can be learned online also but it is not easy to learn SEO. SEO is difficult to learn if you do not have an experienced person guiding you with it. My suggestion is to learn some SEO techniques from an experienced person. It can be your friend or someone else also. Once you get an idea about it, you will be able to learn it further.
It is really very important to clear out basis before you start learning anything.

I blog for money as well, but I always make sure that the niche is something that I have high personal interest in. I also utilize WordPress because of it's built-in SEO options.

Blogging for money seems like a lot of work for a lazy guy like me... I suppose lots of people are using it nowadays. Do you get paid for posting your own blogs or for commenting on other people's blogs?

I managed to monetize my own blog using a few different options. While I used to receive payments for writing about sponsored blog posts on topics I wasn't always happy about, I stopped doing this because it was ruining my credibility.

You will get money if you post some blogs on some websites. However, I don't think you will get money if you post comments on some other blogs which are not made by you.

$1 a day? Is that even worth the effort? Surely there are better paying options around than such low paying deals? I personally would prefer something a little higher paying than this.

You couldn't expect more than this when you are starting Blogging. $1 a day is definitely worth the effort as you will also learn some tips and tricks of blogging when you start doing it practically. Once you learn blogging and you are confident enough, you can start your own blogs and earn more money.

Agreed. It is not possible to learn a thing like blogging in one day and if you are getting money with experience of blogging which will benefit you a lot in future then I think you should go for it. Just learn blogging and once you get good hands on it, money will definitely flow in your way :dancing:

I think blogging for money is overrated as I've tried it before but did not find much success in it and did not really pick up a good amount of readers.
I still do it though but not as much as before, I'd say it's not for everyone as it's quite time consuming but at the same time if you manage to find success with it then I guess it could be rewarding since once the traffic starts rolling in hopefully the cash will too. Another thing that's cool about it is that you'll have some regular readers and that can help get you some credibility. But like I said, I'm not a big fan of that concept and like creating forums instead (which isn't easy either).

Well, I somewhat agree to it. Blogging is surely time consuming but it can surely bring you success if you do it properly. Basically, you should also make sure that the SEO work of the blog is done properly which is again time consuming but this will bring good traffic i.e. readers to your blog. Once you get regular readers for your blog, you will definitely manage to earn money from it.
