Difference between test server, staging server and production Server?

In relevance to load testing on an application – what is the difference between test server, production server and staging server?

Production servers or Live servers are same where the application or website is actually running for use. When it comes to define staging server environment I would say it is just a final examination before placing changes into production, even though you can give an access to users so they can review the functionality. Test servers are pretty similar to staging environment where testing has been done before going to production.
