Default Installed DNS Service

Can anyone help me with this:

I have installed DNS service on my server- I don't know how to configure Forward Lookup Zone after DNS installation.
Please tell me the steps to do so with an example so I don't mess up with the installation.

Hi,
Please see the following steps to configure the DNs server after installation:

1. From the Windows server, click Start > All Programs > Administrative Tools > DNS.
2. Right your server name and select option of "Configure a DNS Server" to start the Configure a DNS Server Wizard. Click Next.
3. Select the Configuration Action as "create a forward lookup zone".
4. Click Next and add the Zone name. for example "test.com"
5. You can create a new zone file or use the existing file. For example, if you choose the option of "Create a new file with this file name" and click Next.
6. On the Dynamic update, specify this DNS zone accepts secure, nonsecure or no dynamic updates and click Next.
7. If you want, you can set DNS forwarders and click Finish to complete the wizard.

Now you are ready to add DNS records to the zone "test.com" you have created.
