Default How is Abuse request handled

What happens if a abuse compliant is received for one of the users websites that uses my server? Is the server directly turned off?

Generally the abuse department will send you a warning before they deactivate/remove the domain. In some cases like DDOS attack, spamming etc, the server has to be taken down immediately. Of course a complete investigation of the abuse complaint is done and in case it is found to be invalid due to a lack of information or incorrect information, it is rejected.

What happens if the abuse dept sends an email and the user does not receive it for some reason ? Is the server or website shut down then?

If the first notification is not replied, we do send a second notification before shutting down the server. The server is not shutdown unless and until it is very urgent to close down the server.

I think that is sufficient from the point of view of a hosting company. I know of some companies who don't even send a notification.

The abuse department is always willing to work with the customers when an abuse complaint is received. In some cases however, the issue becomes outside the scope of their support.

If you receive an abuse complaint regarding any domain under your reseller domain, we would just request the reseller to suspended the domain in complaint. The whole reseller account is not suspended in this case.

Right. In case if no reply is received on the complaint from the reseller, we only suspend the domain name in question and not the complete reseller account.

I would really make sure that you set your email up so that any emails will go to your inbox. That way you do not have to worry that it will slip in to the junk mail and be missed.
