This may sound like an ignorant question (but I've never had a dedicated server, so I suppose I'm ignorant enough to ask it ;)): would a dedicated server be managed through the same type of control panels as shared hosting, such as cPanel? Or is there more to it? It just seems like you've got a whole lot more to keep track of.
If you choose cPanel control panel with the Linux dedicated server, you will get more features with the cPanel control panel of your Linux dedicated server in comparison to the cPanel control panel of your shared hosting plan. Also, if you choose cPanel control panel, you will get WHM (Web Host Manager) with it which offers a whole lot of tools and features which will make server management and administration easier
Thanks for your reply - that was just the info I was looking for. Is the Web Host Manager very difficult to the hang of? Is it at all similar to cPanel?

WHM is by cPanel itself. I think it very user friendly and there is lot of documentation available.
