Default Only for business?

Considering the more resources it provides and the more cash you will be charged, I kinda think that a dedicated server is mostly used to host commercial or business websites. Do you have any client who purchased a dedicated hosting package to host a personal/organizational website?

Absolutely, I've seen many clients keeping dedicated servers as their hosting option for their personal websites. They do this as either their sites are e & use lots of resources, or if they want additional security to be implemented, such as having them hosted behind a hardware firewall, VPN connections, customized racks, switches, network adapters, etc.. Or if they dont want to be hosted amongst other neighbors... but finally, choice is yours ;)

Hi,

Indeed. We do have customers who have chosen a dedicated server for their personal use or for their organizations. The features and benefits offered with the dedicated servers attract many customers to choose it and the fact that a dedicated server does not have much limitations in comparison to other hosting plans makes it a preferred hosting solutions for many individuals and organizations

I think it mainly depends on what you need the server for. There are users who need dedicated server for hosting their personal website or storing personal data.

I know of people who have dedicated server for non business purposes. In my opinion the reasons for a dedicated server is security, space and control. Any site that wants to optimise that should go for one.
