Linux and Windows on same VPN?

I've been wondering about this for a while, but is it possible to have both Linux and Windows servers on the same VPN? All I've read on VPNs so far all had the same OS (either Linux or Windows) so I was wondering if one can have a hybrid Linux-Windows VPN.

I know it's possible to connect a Linux and a Windows machine together on a home network, but I'm not sure if it's possible to do with a VPN. Why would anyone want to the two, anyway?

I think that's possible. However, there migt be some limitations in terms of configurations and connection of VPN between Linux and Windows.

You'll probably need some specialized hardware or software, anyway. Besides, why would anyone want to put Linux and Windows together in a VPN? These days, anything can work on a Linux server can be made to work on a Windows server, and vice versa.
