In my case, I need Dedicated IP address because a dedicated IP is usually needed for Anonymous FTP access, for SEO purposes and for some other IP specific applications. It is also needed due to SSL certificates.

It is necessary to have a Dedicated IP address if you need to install an SSL certificate on your site. If you purchase an SSL certificate from the same hosting company you have hosted your hosting plan or server with, the hosting company will offer you a dedicated IP address for free with the SSL certificate (make sure you confirm about this before you purchase the SSL certificate ;)).
