Created a password protected directory

I have created a password protected directory with cpanel, but when I put username and password set in cpanel for password protected directory, it log-in pop-up will appear again. Did I set some thing wrong?

When you set password protection for a directory it will create a .htaccess file in the directory and set the authentication parameter in the .htaccess file. Please check the AthuFile path is set to correct passwd file. The password file will store in .htpasswd folder in web root.
