Plesk Log In Error:

Hi

I am using Plesk since long time, but recently while log in to Plesk it gives me an following error:

ERROR: PleskFatalException
Unable to connect to database: mysql_connect() [<a href='function.mysql connect'>function.mysql-connect</a>]: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (2)

Not sure about this, but I think you need to do a yum update so everything will be installed fine. But if you have a new version of MySQL, then you need to remove the Berkely bdb from the my.cfg otherwise MySQL daemon will not start up. For more details you need to consider following URL:

Just go to /etc/my.cnf and disable the option '--skip-bdb' and finally try to restart the services.
You will see your issue resolved....
