SFTP and Multiple Users

Hi

Does SFTP allow multiple users to upload files into a directory? Actually I am looking for a solution where it is easy to allow particular users to upload/download the files into the similar directory. On the other hand I'd like to restrict several users to access that directory.

What I would like to suggest make a group, and include these users into this group and create directory where all the group members can access it. Hence those users are not members of the group can not access this directory.
