I've purchased a new dedicated IP, but I read somewhere that when you purchase a dedicated IP, its not always 'new'. Are there any chances that reassigned IP address is blacklisted? Fire1

According to my personal experience the chances of getting a never used IP address is very lean. So, always check the history of the IP. It is similar to recycling process. Its not always the case though it is normal way to be done that way.

However you should check the below links to confirm whether your IP address is blacklisted or not.

Before assigning the ip address the hosts check the black list status.
If the ip is black listed its not assigned.

Its a good practice to re-check through any of the sites that provides IP blacklist check services.
