While I understand that I am semi new to the windows side of things, I can tell you full out this clients host and management team are all idiots. They pretty much took his money, did 1/2 the work that was needed and bailed on him. The management company (not the hosting company) had their own site down for over 3 weeks without notice to other clients even the friend, and have still not contacted him about fixing what needs fixed. As far as I can see it looks like the few sites that run asp programs are broken, not sure on that.
Friend is upset that he feels both companies are not living up to par and would rather switch, but with only 2 of the sites I see running anything windows wise, not sure if he could end up either:
Spending more $ and host them all on windows
Spend less $ and host only those needed on windows/some on Linux
Which would really be better for him. He is not comp savvy, so having a VPS would be very hard for him, I think he needs full managed ...
