I have a question for anyone that knows this and while its partly presales its not fully presales. Let me explain the friends issue and since I am still fairly new to the windows side of geekness, I figure this would be the best place to ask it.

Friend has about six domains
Some of them run windows applications (.asp, etc. - no clue on these)

He was told that by the "management team" he has that all sites were needed to be on windows hosting only. I can look at the sites and only see that one is needed (since it has a program in it called .asp for some chat something or another).

How do you tell the difference?
How do I know this person really needs windows hosting, and if so with the chunk of sites he has does it have to be on a dedi?

From what I can tell all of the sites do a fair bit of traffic but nothing that I would think he needs a dedi for - is there a rule of thumb for this by chance?
