Domain transfer procedure
Transfer of Ist TOP Level Domains: .com, .net,. org , .biz , .info…..
Transfer of domains is required to manage Hosting and Domain with single hosting provider. Following steps are involved during transfer of domain from one registrar to another.
• Please update the name servers of the domain prior to transfer to avoid down time. You may update the name serves of the domain by logging into domain control panel.
• Contact your current registrar for EPP key which is alpha-numerical, required to initiate a transfer request for the domain.
• Request your current registrar to unlock the domain as a registrar lock will prohibit the transfer of the domain to another registrar
• Raise request for payment.
• After receipt of payment and EPP key, new hosting provider shall initiate request for the domain transfer.
• You will receive request at administrative contact and registrant contact email address of the domain.
• Accept and approve the request so that domain will transfer successfully.
• It will take up to 5 days to transfer the domain after request is accepted.
Domain requirements
In order to transfer a domain between registrars, a domain must meet the following requirements:
• The domain must be at least 60-days old. Domains that are not yet 60-days old are not transferable between registrars. This is a registry restriction, not a regulation instituted by eNom or other registrars.
• A domain must be in “ACTIVE” or “OK” status. If a domain is in “REGISTRAR-LOCK”, “REGISTRAR-HOLD”, “REGISTRY-LOCK”, “REGISTRY-HOLD”, “REDEMPTION PERIOD” or “PENDING DELETE” status, the global registries will not allow registrar transfer.
• If the domain was transferred to eNom, the transfer must have completed more than 60-days prior.
Transfer request fails due to following reasons:
• domain contacts did not response to verification e-mails
• domain contacts did not approve transfer of domain
• Whois information provided does not match current registrant
• Domain is currently not registered and cannot be transferred:
• Domain is locked at current registrar or is not yet 60-days old
• Transfer already initiated for this domain
• Transfer rejected by losing registrar
• Canceled by customer

Transfer of 2nd TOP Level Domains : .co.uk, .org.uk…..
Following steps are involved during transfer of 2nd TOP Level Domains from one registrar to another.
• Please update the name servers of the domain prior to transfer to avoid down time. You may update the name serves of the domain by logging into domain control panel.
• Contact your current registrar to change the IPS tag to ENOM, required to initiate a transfer request for the domain.
• Raise request for payment.
• After receipt of payment and revised IPS tag, transfer request is initiated for the domain.
• Domain will get transferred within 24 ~ 48 hrs.
Note:
1. 2nd TLD domains =. Co.uk domains are governed and administered by Nominet.
2. .uk domains don't use authorization codes or registrar locks.
