Yes, you can calculate the bandwidth usage by this method, however, if you choose this method, it would take a very long time to calculate the bandwidth usage and the results you'll get won't be accurate. Hence, I wouldn't suggest you to use this method

This basically depends on the kind of website you have and the type of content you add on your website. In most cases, the website consumes much more bandwidth in comparison to the disk space of the hosting plan or server
