Yes.. Thomas is absolutely correct. If you going to start a hosting business, then for a good profit you should opt for a VPS Server. The reason I am asking you to choose VPS is because it provides you the combined benefit of both shared hosting and dedicated server hosting.

A VPS is much cheaper than dedicated server in terms of price, and offers you more resources which will help the in enhancing the performance of your server and reducing the page loading time and due to which user experience improves. In shared hosting, you have a limited access over the server, however if you go for VPS you will have a complete freedom to install the applications and softwares of you choice on the server. Also, you will be able to upgrade the virtual server requirements any time.
