Is it possible a site can run both nix and win app's on it?

How (if yes) would that be done, other than two separate servers (which is what I was thinking)?
Well, when it comes to running Linux and Windows applications on the same website then it depends on the programming languages which have been used to develop the application.

If the applications you wish to have are developed using PHP and ASP then you can run these applications on the same website as PHP and ASP are supported on Windows hosting platform. If the application you wish to run is developed using HTML then you can choose Windows or Linux based hosting package for running this application as HTML is supported on Windows as well on Linux hosting platform

You won't be able to install Windows and Linux based applications in the main directory and hence you will have to install Windows and Linux based applications separately in subdirectories in order to run Windows and Linux based applications on the same website

Please feel free to post if you have more questions.
